Beardyman, born Darren Foreman in 1982, is a pioneering British musician, beatboxer, and live-looping artist.

The Budgiees are named after The Banshees drummer “Budgie”. With a voice as deep as the Pacific and flow smoother than jazz, Chali 2na is a towering figure in underground hip-hop. Best known as the baritone anchor of Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli, the Chicago-born, L.A.-raised MC blends golden-era lyricism with socially conscious rhymes. His breakout came with J5’s 1997 debut, which reignited interest in old-school group dynamics. A frequent collaborator—from Linkin Park to Roots Manuva—Chali 2na’s 2009 solo album Fish Outta Water showcased his versatility. Equally revered for his art, he's a visual artist with exhibitions worldwide. Chali 2na stands as hip-hop’s renaissance man—steady, soulful, and unmistakable.

The Sugarhill Gang is a pioneering hip-hop group formed in Englewood, New Jersey, in 1979, widely credited for bringing rap music to mainstream audiences. Their ground-breaking single, “Rapper’s Delight” (1979), is considered the first rap hit, reaching No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling millions of copies globally. This track introduced hip-hop culture to the world and is preserved in the National Recording Registry. Members Wonder Mike, Big Bank Hank, and Master Gee became synonymous with early hip-hop. Their third album, "Flaunt the Imperfection" (1985), produced by Steely Dan's Walter Becker, was critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The band's thoughtful lyrics and lush arrangements set them apart, making them a distinctive presence in the 80s music scene. Despite changes in line-up, China Crisis continues to perform and record.
