The Boileroom is pleased to present some of the best new indie talent from Guildford, Reading and London: triple headliners The Keep Cats + VALERAS + BLOXX (Thursday 6 July)

The Keep Cats

Lo-fi, indie, tuneful, local favs, The Keep Cats have come a long way since their first Boileroom gig in 2015. With Jonah – guitar, keys and vocals, Eden - bass and vocals, Fin – guitar, and Louis – drums, the guys can’t wait to be back again in July… and this time they’re bringing with them as special guests two of the hottest new bands around – VALERAS and BLOXX! Keep an eye out for the guys' debut single, which is just around the corner.

DIY praised 4 piece, alternative band, BLOXX are known to fuse Grungy undertones with classic indie-influenced melodies to create their unique, yet comfortably familiar sound which is most evident within their live shows. BLOXX are Ophelia - Guitar and vocals, Taz - Lead guitar and backing vocals, Mozwin - drums and backing vocals, and Paul - bass. Currently writing their debut EP, BLOXX are determined to become one of the UK's most talked about and gigged bands.

With their new EP "Knives and Flowers" VALERAS are poised to become one of the UK’s best new live acts. The EP has been produced to magnificent effect by ex- Hundred Reasons guitarist Larry Hibbbitt (Sundara Karma, Marmozets, Black Honey, Dinosaur Pile Up, Pretty Vicious et al).

Having gained early support from BBC Introducing VALERAS have already piled up an impressive lists of achievements which includes recording at Abbey Road and Maida Vale (for Radio 1) as well as appearing across the UK in a host of venues and festivals culminating in a second performance last year at the Reading and Leeds Festival. This year promises to be a big year for the band with a recent UK-wide tour under their belt and Spotify already naming them one of their Hot New Bands for 2017.
