Pick up some Vintage clothing bargains at our vintage stalls; or some natty handmade jewellery and other goodies from our local stallholders. Young ones and adults alike can learn how to make their own gunge and more with Science buffs Genielab; or strut their stuff with GoBounce workshops – all for free! This year we’ll be raising money for Rhythmix charity, with the help of our volunteers from the National Citizenship Scheme. Get your face painted, grab an ice cream, sit back and enjoy the music!

Forgotten In Idomeni: A Photographic JournalAugust 6, 2016

On Monday 19th September, we will be hosting a photo exhibition documenting of one of Europe’s most horrific refugee camps; Idomeni on the Greek-Macedonian border.
Photographer Daniel Alzarez-Martinez captured his time there through searingly honest black and white shots of everyday life at the camp; alongside his eye-opening journal entries. Alvarez-Martinez will also be holding a short talk and Q&A session during the evening.

The exhibition will be on display from 19th-25th September at The Boileroom, to coincide with the venue’s 10th Birthday celebrations.

For the opening night, we will also be screening They Will Have To Kill Us First: a story of Malian musicians in exile produced by Together Films; who will be hosting a Q&A session afterwards.

All photographs on display will be available to purchase; with all monies raised being split between these charities and organisations:

Forgotten In Idomeni

Music In Exile Fund

Volunteer Organisations in Greece.

Doors: 6.30pm
Screening: 8pm
There are a limited number of tickets for this event, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tickets available here.

Having fun at F.I.S.H!August 5, 2016

We had great fun with F.I.S.H (Fun In The School Holidays) creating these awesome mandalas with local artist Immy Evans! If you’d like to have a go – come along to Always The Sun Festival on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September where Immy will be running workshops creating more dreamy patterns on driftwood inspired by Aboriginal art.
