Coming up this week…October 27, 2014

Thanks to everyone that supported the Open Mic Launch last night at The Boileroom! It was a great success and a real treat for our staff and friends to enjoy.

Special thanks to Blake at Plug and Play for getting the word out there and finding some fantastic musicians to come down and play. There were some very diverse genres ranging from Singer Songwriter Claudia Arnold, to blues and harmonica by Lea Dean, to ambient instrumental using a loop pedal by Nathan. It’s so nice to see people with different musical influences coming together and sharing their songs.

Open mic nights a great way of honing your skills as a performer, meeting other musicians and just generally having a good time with friends.

Our next Open Mic night is booked in for the 26th November, so get it in the diary!! Get in touch with Plug and Play if you would like a slot for the next session.

On Tuesday night we welcome the comforting sounds of Bleak House. We are big fans of their track Sown and are loving the introduction of Yasmyn Charles stunning vocals. If you like your music to have a husky dream like quality then definitely have a listen.
