SPIRAL SESSIONS!January 29, 2014

Local recording studio Spiral Studios have just unveiled their very own ‘Spiral Sessions’ . These sessions will capture unique and intimate performances from UK artists.

The video below features local act ‘Said Panda’ and is the first in a series shot and recorded at the studio.

Emma Stevens: Meet The Band!January 27, 2014

On the 28th March we have the wonderful Emma Stevens returning to The Boileroom! On her first ever headline tour and she is heading out on the road for 13 dates across the UK starting in Cambridge on the 26th March.

Emma had a great 2013 with 4 EP releases that received great acclaim and were all play listed at BBC radio 2. Having also released her debut album ‘Enchanted’ this tour gives you the chance to see Emma perform some favorites with a full live band which is something that cannot be missed.

Independent Venue Week: Princess SlayerJanuary 22, 2014

We are very pleased to have the brilliant Princess Slayer headlining our show as part of the Independent Venue Week!

Ambient-Electronic duo Princess Slayer began writing together after a chance collaboration that was started purely for fun. Their love of music, sounds and crossing genres has lead them to create a style that is unique to them, expressing and exploring many different themes, ideologies and textures.

After compiling their debut EP ‘Life & After’ in just 6 months, Princess Slayer are keen to share their music worldwide.

ModernisM, Swim Good EP Launch, Skatopia!

We work with some great promoters here at The Boileroom and thanks to them we have some great shows coming up!

First of all we have ModernisM who have recently been on KaneFM on their fortnightly show Across The Board. Check out the show below to hear all about ModernisM and their show here on the 8th of Feb.

Playing the ModernisM show here are British Soul band New Street adventure. Currently recording their debut album they have been been described by BBC DJ Robert Elms as ‘the finest young band I’ve seen emerge for many moons’. Check out their latest single below.

On the 22nd Feburary we have local record label Failure by Design Records collaborating with local promoter Genrebomb to bring us Swim Good.

Swim Good are Failure By Designs first signing and this show will signal the release of their debut EP. You can listen to Hatchet from their EP on Kerrang! radio’s unsigned show here (58 mins). Supporting are the excellent Yearbook

Finally we have Ska-topia, like utopia but better! If you love to skank be here on the 28th February for a night of ska and good vibes.

Headlining the night are Bigtopp. “Bigtopp is a 16-legged music-making machine from the southern shores of England, here to fill your ears with good vibes.” The guys from Ska-topia say ‘whether you’ve been skanking all your life or never before, these guys will have you dancing in the 1st few bars!’
