Another eclectic week of local music this week! Guildford’s Academy Of Contemporary Music (ACM) are back this Wednesday with ACM Live – showcasing the best student bands – this week’s line-up features Zac Smith and his Band, KIN, November Veil, and The Cultural Other. 16+, £3 on the door, or £2 with an NUS card, drinks deals to suit those who love a bargain, doors at 7.30pm!
See in the witching hour at our Halloween spectacular! Lurk in the shadows at our Voodoo Blues night, keep your evil eye on these local dripping-with-blues acts…The Fleet Booze Hound Blues Band and Morass of Molasses – who will be giving away their debut single ‘Rotten Teeth’ for free exclusively to attendees only. Come dressed in your most ghoulish apparel for and get into the spirit(s) with us at the bar where we’ll be practising the black arts of mixing, conjuring up some deliciously devilish cocktails – come on down if you dare!
On Saturday night the lovely Emma Stevens is making a welcome return to the venue after a triumphant year! With tour supports with the likes of new folk sensation Passenger, the darling of BBC Radio 2 will be joined by other local gals Berenice Scott and Elissa Franceschi.
We have another heavy night for you tonight with Mikee Goodman, formerly of Sikth fame’s new band Outpatients in the house! Local heroes Northpaw, The One Hundred, and Eagleburner are in for supports – catch them here before they go stellar! Tickets available here.
On Tuesday night we give our Redfest headliner Ryan Keen a big welcome to the venue – it was a truly spellbinding set he played for us earlier in the year – for fans of Frank Hamilton, and Lewis Watson – you really don’t want to miss this show! Then on Thursday rising indie stars Wolf Alice make their way to the venue, with support from Fat Cat records’ newest signing Honeyblood, and Guildford’s own Sea Stacks – catch them in an intimate venue before they hit the big time! Some tickets still on sale here.
Friday night we celebrate Kane FM’s 2nd birthday bash here at the venue – a multi-venue happening all across town – party hard with us from 7.30pm-3am with the Kane FM DnB Allstars and the mighty Axon! …Wednesday we change tack but keep it upbeat with Cornish folksy rootsy trio 3 Daft Monkeys ! They’re touring their new album Of Stones and Bones – as well as playing all the hits, come on down to catch it here first! Support comes from locals bluegrass boys Ghost Town Showdown and acoustic loveliness from Hollie Rogers.

Hackney Colliery Band will be in the house playing their own brand of contemporary colliery capers! Support from the funkiest band in Guildford – Redtenbacher’s Funkestra, and a swingin’ DJ set from Captain Flatcap! Our highlight of the week – this is one not to be missed!
Friday night local promoters Genrebomb kick off the weekend with a sonic boom for Dials debut EP launch party! Download their single Exodus here for free ahead of their show here! Support comes from newbies taking the local scene by storm Yearbook, Insurgents, and Boileroom faves the lovely Red Kites! And only £5 a ticket – what a bargain!
We get funky on Saturday night with Alan Evans Trio of funk legends Soulive! Expect a night of funk, soul, rock from top UK bands BluesMix, David Migden and The Dirty Words and a DJ set from Corrina Greyson!
…No rest for the wicked here on Sunday! We say a sad but find farewell to Madina Lake as they stop off in Guildford as part of their final ever tour! This is a show not to be missed – stellar line-up with Fearless Vampire Killers and Super Happy Fun Club join the bill too! Few tickets left for this one.

On Wednesday, the talented students at ACM will be back for ACM Live Unplugged, Stella Talpo (who played a blinder of a set on our stage at Redfest this year) will be performing alongside Rory Scott and Claudia Arnold – there are open mic slots available too – get in touch with ACM to find out more!
The dreamy Temples will be in the house bringing their soothing psychadelic indie melodies with them on Thursday – there are a few tickets left for this one – get in their quick!
Xtra Mile Recordings new rising stars Jim Lockey & the Solemn Sun are back too on Friday! The Trouble With Templeton, Greg Ryall Music, and Macatier also join the line-up, tickets selling fast!
Saturday night We’ll be partying hard and raising money for a good cause at Stevestock! Local ska-punk legends The JB Conspiracy, Mike TV, On A Hiding To Nothing play live, with DJs Random Scarves and lots more play through until 2am – woop woop!
And on Sunday one of our Redfest 2013 highlights and favourite troubadour Frank Hamilton returns this Sunday with George Barnett, Adam Double and Orla Gartland in support – tickets are nearly sold out so get in there quick!
